What this site collects and exactly what it's used for.
Meeting check-in
When you check in, we store your name, email, phone number, and the event in the club's private member records. That's how attendance and engagement scores work. Only the FMA board can see the full records.
Marketing internship interest
When you submit the marketing internship form, we store your name, phone number, and questionnaire answers in private FMA records. The board uses them to follow up about the internship and understand your experience, availability, and learning needs. Only the FMA board can view the applications. They are not published or sent to an AI service.
Score lookup
The members page shows names with masked emails (like ada***@unlv.nevada.edu) and scores. The leaderboard shows first name and last initial only.
Memberships and donations
Card payments are handled entirely by Square on their secure checkout. We never see or store your card number. For membership, the email entered on the FMA form is the club identity we use to link paid status and engagement points. If you enter a different contact email at Square, Square may send the receipt there, but it does not replace the membership email submitted to FMA. For a donation, the final valid receipt email entered at Square is the contact email recorded with the gift.
Before Square opens, our server temporarily stores the name, email, phone (for membership), donation amount, and checkout-matching details submitted through the FMA form. Unpaid or abandoned checkout records are deleted after 2 days. After a completed payment is recorded in the club CRM, the local checkout record is deleted after 30 days. If Square confirms a payment while the CRM is temporarily unavailable, that record is retained and retried until it is reconciled. The CRM keeps the membership or donation record needed to run the club and reconcile payments.
Guides
Every guide is free with no sign-up and no email required. Anything you type into a calculator or checklist stays in your own browser until you press a coach button. Nothing is sent anywhere unless you press it.
Site analytics
We count which pages get visited (just the page address, nothing about you) so we know which guides help the most. No cookies, no trackers, no third-party analytics.
The one promise
We never sell or share member data with anyone. It exists to run the club, full stop. Questions? DM @fmaunlv.
The guide coach
When you press a coach button on a guide, the text and numbers you typed into that tool are sent to our server and passed to an AI service (Anthropic's Claude API) to write the coaching reply. We do not store what you type and we do not log it. It goes to the AI service once, to write that one reply, and never into any list, profile, or database of ours. Keep personal details (full names, account numbers, balances) out of the tools; the coach does not need them. To keep the coach free for everyone, anonymous daily counters (a hashed visitor id that cannot be reversed and rotates every day) enforce fair-use limits; they contain nothing readable about you and are deleted within days.
